Each teacher brings their own unique style and expertise to the classroom, creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment for our students.
Meet Rachael
Rachael, The daughter of Anita Murray, the founder of our school, has been teaching dance for over 25 years. After being a student at her Mum, Anita Murray's Dance School since she was two.
Rachael continued to study at Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre, where she gained all her Advanced exams and teaching qualifications.
She began teaching full time in 2000 and worked in two Manchester dance schools, taught GCSE dance and weekly taught dance to adults with learning disabilities.
Miss Rachael then danced professionally for years on cruise ships, in summer season shows and travelled Europe with ‘Spirit of the Dance’ Irish show. She performed at many hair shows, professional pantomimes and Henley Festival…..she loved every minute of dancing professionally.
Rachael is an ISTD registered teacher in Modern, Tap and National and fully qualified RAD Ballet teacher…..she later qualified in Acrobatic Arts.
Lily
Lily has danced since the age of 2, dance has always been her passion and a massive part of her life.
Growing up she completed all of her exams in ballet, tap and modern and later moved onto competitive dancing, competing across the country and Disneyland Paris. Lily has been lucky enough to have been an associate at The Hammond and performed on Move It's main stage with The OHC. Lily is still dancing professionally in the industry having been a member of Stilhouettes Heels Company and a current member of the AL commercial company. Lily completed her 3 years professional training and graduated from Liverpool Media Academy with a First Class in Dance and can't wait to share her passion for dance with all the students!
Emma
Emma is currently in her 3rd year at Preston College Dance studying a degree in Dance performance, choreography and teaching. She has been dancing since she was 4, starting with ballet before adding commercial and pointe and then everything else during her teen years.
At college, Emma completed her advanced 1 and 2 modern exams, advanced 1 ballet exam, intermediate tap exam and DDE exams in both modern and ballet. She also performed at 'Move It' whilst at College and was the recipient of the 'Faye Knowles-Chapman Award for Choreography' in 2023.
Emma is now taking her DDE tap exam and advanced 1 tap exam alongside graduating in the summer.
Emma has been at Anita Murray’s for a year now and loves the students and environment..... 'I really look forward to continuing as a regular teacher over the coming year!' Emma x
